In Mai 2016, Langmatz was certified by AOK as a “Healthy Company”. The Bavarian AOK branch, AOK Bayern, supports companies in providing systematic occupational health management (OHM) with sustainable structures and in designing work processes in a healthier manner. As of this year, companies demonstrating outstanding performance are being awarded by AOK Bayern with Bronze, Silver, or Gold certificates.

The fifth Langmatz Broadband Symposium and Open House broke all records and established itself as industry get-together.
More than 300 participants from Germany and other European companies met in Garmisch-Partenkirchen to discuss exciting topics regarding the development of broadband networks and their marketing.
Bayern Innovativ GmbH issues an invitation to the second cooperation forum “Wood as a new material” taking place in Regensburg on 12 November 2015. One of the experts speaking at this event is Mr Josef Lohr from Langmatz, whose paper is entitled “Further development of WPC technology for efficient, sustainable infrastructure – Products – Processes, economy, ecology”. On this occasion Mr Lohr will be presenting the new material ecopolytec to a wider audience for the first time.
The 4th Langmatz Broadband Symposium and Open House was a resounding success. Some 300 attendees from Germany and other European countries listened to our presentations with great interest at Garmisch-Partenkirchen conference centre. The comprehensive sessions provided attendees with all the news on broadband rollout, an insight into FTTH + FTTB business models, an overview of marketing potential and a look at telecommunications infrastructure legislation.
Langmatz GmbH and SKZ Würzburg have made it to the final round of Europe’s most prestigious environmental business awards with their project, ‘Renewable raw materials in infrastructure products’. The joint project also received the most votes in the Recycling & Resources category, ranking it among the best green projects of 2015. Our sincere thanks to all of our voters in such large numbers.
On the first weekend in July 2014, the Langmatz artificial turf field in the “Stadion am Gröben” stadium in Garmisch-Partenkirchen was officially inaugurated. The new construction of the artificial turf field was an important step into the future for the 1. FC Garmisch-Partenkirchen – as “the demand for young players cannot be met without long-term planned, intensive youth promotion,” says Reinhard Kreusel, CFO of Langmatz.
The third Broadband Symposium hosted by Langmatz at the Convention Centre in Garmisch-Partenkirchen and at our Oberau manufacturing site, was a great success. Approx. 250 participants from Germany, Austria, Switzerland and other companies listened to comprehensive presentations discussing the planning, installation, operation and documentation of FTTx networks.
As an attractive employer and active IHK vocational training company we take care of the education of qualified young specialists. The new film about vocational training at Langmatz presents the variety of different apprenticeships offered by us to future trainees.
The big day finally came in December 2013: The fifth WPC Convention in Cologne awarded three winners with the WPC Innovation Award 2013, one of them Langmatz.
The prize is awarded for ideas in the area of product development and product design, as well as new material-suitable application in the WPC (Wood Plastic Composites) category.
Under the slogan “Technology meets Art and Creativity,” Langmatz GmbH called for an arts competition with exhibition in spring of this year. The goal was to create impressions of our products and markets from a non-technical point of view and to find the common denominator between technology and art.
For the first time, a uniform seal of training quality exists throughout Bavaria, which is awarded to all IHK (Chamber of Industry and Commerce) vocational training companies. “Those, who train, should visualize this exemplary commitment,” states a current communication of IHK for Munich and Upper Bavaria. This way, we can communicate to our customers and future trainees that we are an attractive employer, who takes care of the education of qualified young specialists. The mark contains a QR code, which interested persons can use to directly access the Germany-wide Apprenticeship Exchange.
