Langmatz GmbH and SKZ Würzburg have made it to the final round of Europe’s most prestigious environmental business awards with their project ‘Renewable raw materials in infrastructure products’. The joint project also received the most votes in the Recycling & Resources category in the pre-selection phase, thus putting it among the best green projects of 2015.
The development of high-quality environmentally friendly products is crucial to the future. At Langmatz, we are absolutely committed to playing our part. So, in cooperation with SKZ Würzburg, our engineers have been busy developing an innovative, pioneering material made largely from renewable raw materials: ecopolytec.
ecopolytec is the first ecological, recyclable and sustainable solution for use in civil engineering and infrastructure projects. It is a foam-moulded structure wood polymer composite (WPC) made with 45% wood and is suitable for manufacturing complex moulded components using thermoplastic foam injection moulding (TSG).
The award was personally presented to Josef Lohr, Project Manager at Langmatz, and Mr Serhiy Yatsenko, Project Member at SKZ. Langmatz GmbH would like to thank SKZ for their successful cooperation as well as the Bavarian Research Foundation for supporting this project.
