The 4th Langmatz Broadband-Symposium and Open House was a resounding success. Some 300 attendees from Germany and other European countries listened to our presentations with great interest at Garmisch-Partenkirchen conference centre. The comprehensive sessions provided attendees with all the news on broadband rollout, an insight into FTTH + FTTB business models, an overview of marketing potential and a look at telecommunications infrastructure legislation…
On day 2 we held our open house event at our Oberau manufacturing site along with 13 industry partners. Visitors were able to take a close-up look at our innovative optical fibre products. Amongst others, we presented our latest development: splice and patch assemblies for central office optical distribution frames. In a range of workshops, participants advanced their knowledge of optical fibre, civil engineering and optics. For example, we held a seminar on error prevention in fibre optic installation, a workshop on inserting fibre optic cabling, gave a guided tour of our production facilities and watched a practical test of a Langmatz manhole assembly.
We are delighted that the event has become a high-level industry gathering and is so well received by visitors, proof of which is the growing number of attendees. We would like to thank everyone who participated, along with the companies and partners who exhibited.
