10 December 2013
The big day finally came in December 2013: The fifth WPC Convention in Cologne awarded three winners with the WPC Innovation Award 2013, one of them Langmatz.
The prize is awarded for ideas in the area of product development and product design, as well as new material-suitable application in the WPC (Wood Plastic Composites) category…
Particular focus was placed on innovations already on the market or close to market introduction.
Josef Lohr, Project Manager at Langmatz GmbH, presented a new WPC material, which was developed in collaboration with Kunststoff-Zentrum SKZ in Würzburg. The material features a significant content of renewable resources. Further WPC properties worth mentioning are the technical, economic and ecological advantages compared to the previous standard material. The developed material is also suitable for our injection foam-moulded manhole systems.
The prize was accepted by Mr. Stephan Wulf, CEO Langmatz GmbH, Mr. Josef Lohr, Project Manager, and Mr. Serhiy Yatsenko, Project Member at SKZ. Langmatz GmbH would like to thank SKZ for the successful collaboration as well as the Bavarian Research Foundation for supporting this project.
