Neu-Ulm opts for speaking traffic lights from Langmatz

Child’s voice motivates young and old alike to cross the road only when the light is green

Garmisch-Partenkirchen, 13 July 2017 – “Thank you, it will soon turn green,” – announced by a friendly child’s voice when someone presses the button at the pedestrian light push button in Neu-Ulm. Following the lead of other German municipalities who have already opted for the “speaking traffic light” from Langmatz GmbH, this Swabian town has now also installed the system near a primary school – and more are to follow.
