Disabled artists create images for Christmas cards
Garmisch-Partenkirchen, Germany, 2 February 2021 – Langmatz GmbH has been supporting a wide variety of social projects in the district for many years. In the past year, the specialist plastics and metals processing company had decided to make a monetary donation to ‘Werdenfelser Werkstätten’, a charity supporting people with disabilities, instead of sending out Christmas gifts. This well-known facility in Garmisch-Partenkirchen supports adults with mental, psychological, physical or multiple disabilities, with the aim of integrating them into the world of work.
All apprenticeships at the region’s largest industrial employer are once again filled
Garmisch-Partenkirchen, 07 September 2020 – The new vocational training 2020/2021 also started at Langmatz GmbH on 01 September. Six trainees started their apprenticeships in different professional fields at the company, which specialises in plastics and metal processing. This year they include two industrial clerks, a specialist in warehouse logistics, a process mechanic for plastics and rubber technology, an industrial mechanic and an IT specialist for system integration. At the same time, a student on an integrated degree course in plastics engineering started his vocational training at Langmatz. “Fortunately, we had a large number of promising applicants once again this year, so that we were once again able to fill all vacant positions with committed young people,” emphasises Training Coordinator Angelika Schubert…
Industry gathering at Langmatz: 9th Broadband Symposium sees new visitor record
Garmisch-Partenkirchen, 10 March 2020 – With the sun beaming down brightly for part of the event, the 9th Broadband Symposium and Open House was held in Garmisch-Partenkirchen on 26 and 27 February – and a new visitor record was achieved. This year, 540 participants from Germany and abroad came to the Zugspitze region to learn about innovations and marketing trends in broadband expansion and discuss them in person. There were also 31 partner companies presenting their latest products for optical fibre expansion. “Even if representatives from politics, business and associations sometimes rightfully criticise the sluggish speed at which high-speed networks are being expanded, we’re on the way to becoming a gigabit society”, explained Stephan Wulf, Chairman of the Langmatz Executive Board, thereby setting the tone for this year’s industry gathering during his opening speech…

All graduates join the company after successful IHK examination
Garmisch-Partenkirchen, 28 May 2019 – A fine tradition awaits the happy graduates at the
end of their vocational training: the presentation ceremony. Five Langmatz apprentices
attended the ceremony. As part of the presentation ceremony at the Oberau plant, the
former apprentices received a gift from the Board of Management and were released from
the apprenticeship on receipt of their diplomas. Due to their good qualifications and the
great commitment they showed during their vocational training, all were hired by their
respective departments at Langmatz. “We are very proud of you and your achievements

Garmisch-Partenkirchen, 10 September 2018 – The new 2018/2019 apprenticeship year began at the start of the month at Garmisch-Partenkirchen and Oberau-based Langmatz GmbH. This year a total of 16 young apprentices, including five female apprentices, started their apprenticeship training at the largest industrial business in the district with a workforce of 430.
