Manhole covers
Standard covers
Langmatz manhole covers have been developed for simple and fast operation.
- Steel covers, concrete-lined/paveable:
sit firmly in the frame, thanks to their weight and dual locking mechanism. They are suitable for roads without heavy traffic, where one-section covers are preferred and bends or intersections are to be avoided. Load-bearing strength up to class D400.
- Cast-iron covers:
lightweight, easy to lock and can withstand loads up to class D400. However, regular vehicular traffic can cause increased noise and so they are suitable for occasional vehicular traffic.
- Plastic covers:
corrosion-resistant and especially lightweight (can easily be handled without the need for lifting equipment, available for selected clear dimensions and up to class B125).

Special covers
- Concrete-lined steel covers for increased traffic volumes in inner city areas. They are significantly heavier, always one-section, and additionally screwed down. For use in urban areas where heavy traffic is unavoidable.
- Concrete-lined steel with cast-iron entrance
- Triangular cast iron swivel cover
- Cast iron with integrated pedestal suitable for outdoor cabinets KVz22 etc.
STEEL FRAME
All steel frames are hot-dip galvanised. There is a damping pad between the steel frame and cover, which compensates for any minor unevenness and reduces noise.
LOCKING MECHANISM
Manhole covers with load class D400 must always be screwed down, locked, or secured by a surface-related mass in accordance with DIN EN 124.
